Postcard Pear Sketch #2 - mailed to a friend in California.

I recently purchased a waterbrush and played around with pen and ink drawings.  The pear below was drawn on watercolor paper and is being mailed to a friend as a postcard.

I’ve never eaten this type of fennel, but I’ve always admired its sculptural quality in the grocery store. I planned on finding a recipe, but it took me a little longer than I had anticipated to paint it….. and it began to look a little unappetizing after a few days.
