”Portrait of a Wasp”
Detail
I saw a wasp sitting on the window sill and thought not to disturb him otherwise he would fly around the house, and I had no bug spray. Later in the evening I returned and the wasp was in the same spot. After further inspection, I realized he was deceased. So naturally, as any good little artist would do, I took his portrait.

Pears
The Pears were created as my MFA Thesis, for which I received a professional grant from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in 1998. They were created with a large format camera (4×5 negs) - gelatine silver prints. I will list the print sizes as they were originally displayed - some lend themselves to a small intimate scale whereas others demanded “attention” and were larger than life. Almost 10 years after their creation, I am still receiving requests to view them… so here they are! Enjoy!
5×7″ and presented in a grid of 40.
(Check back, I will continue to scan and add to this group to get most of them up - not sure if all 40 though!)
